Parish Activities

Sacristans assist with light church cleaning on a regular weekly basis.

Parish Library is a collection of spiritual books, tapes, and videos suitable for adults and children and available for use by any parishioner. Volunteers assist with maintaining resources and adding new materials.

Money Counters are responsible for counting the collections after the Sunday Masses as well as preparing and making the weekly deposit. Counters work in teams of three or more.  Normally, teams count once every other month.  There are immediate openings and no experience is required.

Babysitting is provided by volunteers at the 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Sunday Masses.  We have opening for those interested in helping in this are.

Coffee and Donuts, tea, orange juice, and pastries are provided during fellowship after the 8:30 AM Sunday Mass and prior to PSR classes. Volunteers are needed to assist.

Parish Christmas Dinner is planned and implemented by Holy Trinity parishioners. Volunteers assist with planning, set-up, and clean-up.

Parish Picnic is planned and implemented by the Picnic Committee, whose responsibility is to plan, set up and organize the games and events for the picnic, as well as secure prizes for these events. The Men's Club grills the meat for the picnic and helps with set-up and clean-up. The Council of Catholic Women makes arrangements for the serving of food, makes calls to the call list for desserts, and helps with serving and clean-up.

Garden Ministry – All gardeners are invited to share their talents to maintain the parish grounds and gardens.  We do all the chores you do in your own yard except mow the grass!  You may take care of a specific area on your own or work with others on larger projects.  The Garden Ministry schedules a monthly Saturday work day during warm weather.

Health Care Ministry sponsors the monthly Blood Pressure Screenings on the second Sunday of every month. This ministry is open to anyone, both professional and non-professional health care providers. You need not have a medical background to be a member of the Health Ministry. The only requirement to be a member of this ministry is the desire to promote better health and to help provide helpful information for the parishioners of Holy Trinity. The Health Ministry meets approximately every two months. Dates and times to be posted in the bulletin. 

 

Faith in Action is a monthly interative hour-long session held the first Tuesday of each month. The group attempts to see beneath the surface of issues confronting the community adn the world and see how the Gospel and the Church would have us respond. Issues discussed include poverty, the environment, homelessness, intolerance, and real life application of the Beatitudes.

 

Funeral Dinners are offered for bereaved families as a way for families to remember their loved one and spend time together following the funeral. A dedicated group plans, prepares, serves and cleans up afterward.

 

Parish Outreach is an opportunity for parishioners to offer assistance to others who need help with such things as transportation (to Mass, doctor appointments, etc.), home repairs, cleaning assistance, caregiver relief and similar assistance. It is also a method for parishioners who need these services to request them.

Parish Webmaster assists the parish office staff in maintaining the parish website and posting routine updates.

Office and Administrative Assistants help a few hours at a time with answering the phone, stamping and stuffing envelopes, etc. in the parish office as needed by the office staff.
