Parish Organizations

The Parish Council, together with the pastor, is concerned with the total mission of the parish, including its spiritual, educational, and temporal needs. It is an advisory board responsible to the pastor. Members are elected to a three-year term and attend regular meetings on the second Monday of each month.

The Welcoming Committee of Holy Trinity Catholic Church plays a vital role to visitors and new members of our parish family. New members of the parish are invited to complete a short form that is in the weekly bulletin. A parish enrollment form is then provided by the parish office to collect comprehensive information about the new parishioners. Please consider serving on this committee to help welcome new members to our parish family. The time commitment is small, but important and lasting.

The Finance Committee, along with the pastor, plans the budget for the parish and monitors it throughout the year. This group also meets with the pastor to review the monthly financial report and assist with special fundraising projects within the parish.

The Stewardship Committee supports and promotes involvement in parish ministries and organizations. The Committee assists with Stewardship Sunday sign-up, parish stewardship membership lists, parish directory content, and information to newcomers. The committee meets as needed on the first Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

The Men's Club – Through social, spiritual, support, and service activities/programs, the Men’s Club helps build a strong, true, and faith-filled parish.  All adult males are considered active members.  Join us the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the parish center to learn more about the programs and activities in which we are involved.

The Council of Catholic Women (CCW) – The purpose of CCW is to develop spirituality, encourage fellowship, and foster leadership among the women in our parish, region, and diocese. The CCW is a spiritual and service organization comprised of all women of the parish 18 or older.  Meetings are held monthly on the 3rd Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Father Allen Room.  Informational programs on a variety of subjects are included several times a year.  CCW serves the parish and community on many levels, assisting with the parish picnic and with various receptions.   Annual events include the Fall Bazaar and International Fun Night.  We welcome and encourage all women of the parish to become active participants in your parish CCW.  A complete schedule of programs and events may be found in the weekly bulletin or monthly newsletter.

St. Anthony's Guild promotes the Catholic way of life through prayer, works of mercy, involvement in church activities, and supporting community needs. Special projects include comforters for the homeless, a handmade quilt for the annual bazaar, and Christmas gifts for the needy through Crosslines. This group meets on the second Monday of the month, September through May.

St. Dorothy's Guild meets the fourth Monday of the month, except during June-August. Guild projects include funeral dinners, communion for the sick, and the parish telephone committee. Special projects have included the Living Rosary in May, the Christmas Bazaar, and the Parish Christmas Party as well as the Giving Tree at Christmas to benefit residents of The Kitchen.

St. Joseph's Guild meets four times per year, usually after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday Mass and on the Feast of St. Joseph. The guild sponsors the following events and services: The Good Samaritan Outreach, taking communion to the sick and homebound, providing transportation to doctor’s visits or church, meals following hospitalization, the prayer line, parish Christmas caroling, Valentine cookie collection for The Kitchen, Easter communion and gifts to the homebound and provides cakes, entertainment and service to the residents of Mercy Villa for the May birthday party. The Guild responds to requests from the CCW and the pastor.

St. Monica's Guild is a group of women who actively participate in many parish functions and community needs that include the following: Bake Sales Booth at the Fall Bazaar, and making special projects to sell at the Bazaar; regular support of Newborns in Need by donating baby items; responding to and supporting CCW needs; assisting with preparing and serving funeral dinners; and visiting and supporting community organizations such as The Kitchen, Harmony House, and St. Joseph's Academy. Our Lady Rosary Group is open to anyone wishing to make mission rosaries either cord or chain.  Completed rosaries are provided to parish religious programs such as RCIA and PSR.  Upon request, they are also distributed to hospitals and care facilities in our community and to missions around the world.  Work sessions are held the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month following the 6:30 p.m. Mass.  Start-up supplies are provided to new members.

St. Vincent De Paul Society helps the needy in the Springfield area by distributing funds donated by parishioners to provide emergency assistance. Monies are used primarily for utility assistance. The Kitchen social staff provides verification of need.
