RCIA (The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a concentrated process of conversion and faith development by which a person prepares to become a fully incorporated member of the Catholic faith community. RCIA sessions are held Thursday evenings from 7:15 to 9:00 PM from September through May. Periodically, the members will attend Sunday Mass for special rituals to prepare the candidates/catechumens for full membership in the Church. Parishioners serve as sponsors and spiritual mentors during this faith formation process. Confirmation is a sacrament offered to adults and high school age youth in grades 10 through 12. Preparation is a two-year process and includes youth attending either Catholic or non-Catholic high schools. Parishioners assist with the preparation of confirmation candidates. |
